Under the motto “Courage, Compassion & Confidence”, the first Women Empowerment Day took place on June 17, 2021. For an entire afternoon, women from a wide variety of fields talked about their experiences with the aim of inspiring other women and encouraging them in their actions. The OC members Frederike Asael and Béatrice Wertli moderated the exciting inputs of speakers from business, politics and sports. Roundtables and a panel discussion on the effects of the female cycle on top-class sports and everyday working life also encouraged the exchange between the participants.

Together with the OC of the Women Empowerment Day 2021, we developed a production plan for the five-hour digital afternoon. In just under two hours, we built the set in the morning, followed by testing the entire technical infrastructure, including sound and lighting. At the event, we made sure that speakers could also be connected from home. Our control room planned the clean use of cutscenes, belly bands and presentations and supervised the live chat as well as the roundtables. In the latter, guests were able to sit down together at a virtual table and exchange ideas on the discussion topics.
